WILD by Motionhouse

Tell us what you thought about the stunning performances in Redditch town centre, market place

20th June 2026

What is it to be wild?

WILD, the hit acrobatic-circus production from Motionhouse, explores humanity’s growing disconnect with the natural world and our impact on the environment.

WILD creates an urban forest in the everyday of the town. Performers use gravity-defying physicality to move through a forest of tall poles. They move animal-like through the dangerous world of the forest floor, taking refuge high in the canopy. In our modern lives, can the wild still shape human behaviour?

And now you’ve seen it!

So, along with Motionhouse, and help from our friends at Culture Central, we’re ready to hear your thoughts about these WILD acrobatic shows!

We want to know what you thought of the Motionhouse WILD performances in Redditch town centre last Saturday so that we can make future events or activities even better. It’s quick and easy! Thank you for your honest answers.

The Concept

Redditch is a place where people have always made things – needles, springs, lamps, bikes, modern aerospace components, and more.

At the same time, it is a town with an affinity for performance, and a modern cultural enthusiasm for dance.  Our Hip Hop, Community Makers and Love Woodrow projects have all featured co-created dance productions performed by Redditch people.

And it is also a place where many different people tell Reimagine Redditch that they want bigger, more ambitious creative work across the whole Borough.

So, the Makers in Motion project has been developed in order to answer the question: what will people in Redditch make now?

Partnership with Motionhouse

Pushing movement to its limits since 1988, Motionhouse are one of the busiest and most exciting touring companies in the UK, creating awe-inspiring dance-circus productions across the UK and internationally, performing each year to more than 100,000 people in theatres and at outdoor events.

Their distinctive, highly physical style integrates elements of circus and acrobatics with breath-taking dance to surprise and delight audiences, using powerful narrative and incredible digital imagery.

They bring world-class dance to people of all ages in the heart of their communities.

And they are the perfect group of artists, dancers and performers to inspire Redditch communities, and to co-create a unique public dance performance in Redditch in 2028.

Objectives of the Project

Perform – world-class productions in the heart of Redditch.

Inspire – Redditch communities through jaw-dropping live experiences and exciting creative workshops.

Co-create – a unique, original dance for everyone, to be performed live in Redditch, hand in hand with people from across our communities.
